 Entry One: Observing

Macro Skills: Speaking

Age of the Student: 5 years old

Topic: Body

Performance Indicators:

1. Identify and name  the body parts.

2. Observe children's engagement in learning activities.

Description of the activity: In this activity the teacher will spend time observing the kids during the class. The teacher will use an observation checklist to note their behaviors, interactions, and skill development.

The teacher will use a picture of the body and will ask the kid the main parts in the picture. The need to observe if the kids can identify and name the parts of the body.

Time: 20 minutes

Materials: Body picture

The teacher will use a notebook, body picture, pen/markers, camara (optional)

Observation check list: The teacher will create a checklist with columns for different skills or behaviors you want to observe, such as social interaction, language development, fine motor skills, etc.
